American Laundry Products, the South Carolina-based manufacturer of textile products for the laundry and drycleaning industries, including flatwork ironer padding and covers, feed and folder belts and belting and wax and guide tape, has acquired the business and certain assets of Clenacorp with effect from 1 January 2017.

Clenacorp, established in 1947 and based in San Carlos, California, formulates and manufactures a complete line of paste and liquid lubricants, cleaners, Karagami Flake Wax, as well as a complete line of guide tapes, beltings and accessories for flatwork ironers and folders. These products are supplied to the commercial laundry and drycleaner supply industries through original equipment manufacturers and through distributors.

Gene Williams, president of American Laundry Products said that Clenacorp has an excellent reputation of offering high quality products coupled with superior customer service, attributes that aligned perfectly with ALP’s core mission.

“There is a lot of synergy between our two companies and I am looking forward to working very closely with the Clenacorp team and their customers over the next several months as we transition their business into American Laundry Products,” he added. “This acquisition will also allow us to broaden our product portfolio offerings to our existing customers as well as to provide new export opportunities in service to our global laundry division.”
