CLEAN, the independent linen and workwear rental services provider, has appointed Stuart Calder as service development director. His appointment will deliver the smooth operation of Clean’s dedicated customer service centre that recently opened at Clean House in Berkshire.

Calder joins the company with a wealth of industry experience having previously held customer centric and senior management roles at other textile services companies including Paragon Group, which was acquired by Clean in 2015, and more recently a position at Berendsen.

Announcing the appointment, the company said that Calder’s commercial laundry experience and managerial skills are incredibly valuable and will be integral to delivering Clean’s vision of being the leading linen supplier of choice for the UK hospitality industry at a time of development and growth.

“Clean is leading by example in the industry as its efforts to become the hospitality industry’s leading flatwork provider has seen phenomenal success in the last 12 months,” said Calder. “The role of service development director is a natural progression for me at an exciting time for CLEAN, whom I see firmly as a market leader in both vision and strategic direction.”
