Cleanly, the app-based laundry and drycleaning delivery service launched in 2014, is to expand. Building on its success in Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York, the service was launched this month in Washington D.C.
Cleanly uses the convenience of mobile technology so that users who have downloaded the free app can schedule a time for the pickup, including instructions on how to wash the clothes (normal wash, low dry, and so on). The vendor partners are supplied with these care instructions so each item is cared for exactly to the owner’s specifications.
A Cleanly Valet — one of the company's part-time workers — will pick up the bundles of clothes and drop it off at a local launderer or drycleaner. Clean clothes are delivered within 24 hours.
The company operates Cleanly Reserve, described as a laundry and drycleaning subscription service.
