Deadline looms for laundry apprenticeship proposal

13 January 2017

UK
The Textile Services Association is reminding the textile services industry that time is running out to provide its views on the proposed Apprenticeship Development: Laundry, Dry Clean and Wet Clean Entry Level. Completed Expression of Interest forms are required by 20 January 2017.

The role is at the entry level for the industry. There are one or two mandatory areas, which include English, Maths, IT (all dependent on apprentice's individual level) and "Safety, Security and Health in the textile care environment". After the mandatory units, the apprenticeship splits into one of three pathways – Commercial Laundry, Dry Clean and Wet Clean.

Details can be found at the Textile Services Association’s website.
