Detox campaign launched by Oeko-Tex

SWITZERLAND

The Oeko-Tex Association has launched a Detox To Zero assessment tool that will help production facilities along the textile chain that have committed to the Detox campaign to specifically monitor their chemical management processes and work to ensure compliance with the Greenpeace targets. The system will allow manufacturers to assess the status of their chemical management systems and the quality of their waste water and sludge, all documented using credible, independent verification.

The results are summarised in an annual status report that lists the extent to which the company is already compliant with the Detox targets and includes specific improvement suggestions for further implementation.
