Electrolux Professional helped to kit out a mobile laundry van designed to help homeless people. The commercial laundry equipment manufacturer donated two myPRO washing machines and two dryers to Off The Fence, a charitable organisation based in Brighton and Hove.

The machines were installed inside a specially-adapted van as part of the organisation’s Antifreeze project. The mobile laundry van will provide individuals throughout the area with an opportunity to regularly wash and dry their garments for free.

Paul Young, CEO for Off The Fence said: “Maintaining good hygiene is incredibly important to a person’s health and wellbeing. Clean clothes are a key part of that, so we hope that providing homeless people with adequate facilities will help us to reduce preventable health conditions and improve conditions for those sleeping rough.”

Darren Lockley, head of region for Electrolux Professional UK, said: “Maintaining the best possible hygiene standards is key to everything we do as a laundry equipment manufacturer, so we were only too happy to be able to use that expertise to assist in the great work which is carried out by Off The Fence.”
