The software group Everfield has acquired the Bavarian software company SoCom Informationssysteme GmbH. This is Everfield's first investment in Germany on its way to becoming a pan-European group of B2B software companies. SoCom has developed a full-fledged ERP system for the textile care industry and is one of Europe's leading providers in this segment. Everfield aims to help SoCom achieve long-term and sustainable growth.

“The Everfield Group brings together highly specialised software companies that are among the leading providers in their segment. This is fully true of SoCom,” said Henning Schreiber, Everfield Germany’s managing director and head of European acquisitions. “SoCom will be an integral part of the Everfield Group, and together with the management and employees, we will continue to develop the company’s strong market position in the long term. Our goal is sustainable growth based on the existing product and service portfolio. We are counting on the dedicated and experienced SoCom team at the Krumbach location, which will certainly grow with further qualified employees in the course of the targeted growth.”

“We are a healthy, profitable company with more than 30 years of history,” said Wolfgang Faist, founder of SoCom. “It gives me a good feeling to have found a partner in Everfield that specialises in the B2B software market and actively supports the further development of our organisation. I was particularly impressed by the concept of providing the members of the group with the necessary support for organic growth – based on a long-term collaboration.” Faist will remain in the company as a member of the management team. The new managing director is Michael Wieser, who has been with SoCom for 18 years. “As part of the Everfield group of companies, we have new opportunities to further develop SoCom and exploit existing growth potential. This will enable us to better align our offering with our customers’ needs in the future,” says Wieser. The photograph shows Michael Wieser, left with Wolfgang Faist.

SoCom is a software specialist for laundries and provides end-to-end process management for large laundries with its ERP software TIKOS. With more than 40 software modules as well as app and web solutions, the digitization possibilities extend beyond the operational boundaries. With its steadily growing portfolio, the medium-sized company has been successfully operating in the laundry industry for over 30 years and is the market leader in the German-speaking region. In total, SoCom’s products are used in more than 350 laundries in 17 countries. Customers include a large number of German laundry companies.
Everfield is currently establishing a pan-European group of B2B software companies. Acquisition candidates are suppliers of proprietary software solutions with a turnover of between 1 and 8 million euros.
As part of a “buy-and-grow” strategy, Everfield aims to fully acquire the company’s shares. Everfield is not looking for short-term success through quick reselling, but relies on long-term cooperation. Henning Schreiber: “We come to stay.” Companies are expected to retain their autonomy to a large extent, but can rely on support from Everfield's teams. In particular, founders and owners who care about the future of their company can be sure that they are putting their entrepreneurial legacy in good hands.
