Girbau UK appoints sales manager for Scotland

20 October 2016

Laundry equipment specialist Girbau UK has appointed Sharon Laing area sales manager for Scotland where she will be advising customers on establishing and running efficient and cost-saving on-premise laundries in the hospitality, healthcare, and education sectors.

Laing has more than 17 years’ sales experience in the laundry industry from which she has acquired a deep understanding of customers’ needs, most recently at Fishers Services where she was general manager linen sales. Prior to Fishers she was sales manager at Sunlight (now Berendsen).

Hotels installing a Girbau towel laundry can typically expect to make savings of between 25% and 45% or even more, claims the company, while taking operational control and improving quality. Return on investment is between 12 and 18 months, including capital expenditure, utilities and labour costs. To accurately identify savings, Sharon undertakes a desktop analysis using data on current wash weights to provide a detailed financial breakdown comparing outsourced costs with savings achievable in-house.
