Guests at the sixth annual Girbau Industrial UK dinner were the first in the country to experience the new GirbauMax virtual reality laundry technology. The event hosted at Warwick Castle attracted over 100 guests from across the UK laundry industry, including representatives from Lavatec, Bates of London, Camplings Linen, the TSA and LTC.

GirbauMax allows customers to walk around a virtual replica of their industrial laundry, on-premise laundry or laundrette, enabling them to get a true-to-life appreciation of operational space and laundry equipment positioning.

The evening included a demonstration of the castle’s replica trebuchet, believed to be the world’s largest siege engine, before guest retired into the castle’s Great Hall for dinner and entertainment, which included duelling knights and music. A Girbau flag flew from the castle’s tower and as guests left, the Girbau logo was projected onto the castle’s walls.

Girbau’s marketing manager Jo Emmerson said that the very positive feedback received from guests has strengthened the company’s plans to continue the event in the future: “We benefit as a company from taking the time to network with our clients and industry colleagues in this relaxed environment and it has now become a firmly established event in the UK laundry industry’s calendar.”
