Guild plans Scottish mini-conference

The Guild of Cleaners and Launderers is holding a free-to-all Scottish mini-conference on Sunday 17 September at the Westerwood Hotel, St Andrews Drive, Cumbernauld, near Glasgow.

Ken Cupitt, the Guild’s chairman of Council & Examination Board said that the three hour event will run from 10.00 am to 1.00pm.

Speakers will include Michael McLaughlan and Jean Baird on Sensene solvent and new developments; Jonathan Brook of Vaughan Concept talking about shop design and installation; Brian Pearce talking on cleaning practices throughout the world; Roger Cawood on problems associated with drycleaning; and Barry Eaton on sustainability of perchlorethylene and trends in drycleaning around the world There will be a break at 11.00am for tea/coffee and snacks, which will be free to all attendees.
