Universal Linen, a Louisville, Kentucky-based, family-owned healthcare and hospitality linen service provider serving the tri-state area of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio, has earned the Textile Rental Services Association’s Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification for its Connersville, Indiana, laundry.

Achieving this certification reflects its commitment to best management practices (BMPs) in laundering as verified by on-site inspection and their capability to produce hygienically clean textiles as quantified by ongoing microbial testing.

The Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification confirms Universal’s continuing dedication to infection prevention, compliance with recognised industry standards and processing healthcare textiles using BMPs as described in its quality assurance documentation, a focal point for Hygienically Clean inspectors’ evaluation.

“Congratulations to Universal Linen Service on the certification,” said Joseph Ricci, TRSA president and CEO. “This achievement proves Universal’s commitment to infection prevention and that its laundry takes every step possible to prevent human illness.”
