High-profile appointments at Advanced

Advanced Direct, a leading distributor of equipment for the laundry industry, has made three senior appointments, marking another stage in the continuing growth of this Yorkshire company.

Roy Castle joins as national sales manager, with a brief to develop a dealer network throughout the UK.

With ten years’ experience of the market that he gained by working at Electrolux, Mr Castle says: “This position will give me the opportunity to capitalise on my experience and contacts to drive the business forward, especially in the south of England where the potential for Advanced Direct is huge.” Mark Dennis has been promoted to group technical manager. After two years at Advanced, Mr Dennis explains: “I will be responsible for all technical matters, from the development and testing of new products through to site surveys prior to installation and then after-sales service. Any customer requiring technical advice will be referred to me.” Mark Illingworth has also been promoted to operations manager. Trained as an engineer, Mr Illingworth will be responsible for the smooth installation of Advanced products and for the management of the company’s nationwide team of engineers employed to ensure trouble-free running of installations.

Francis Ayscough, managing director, commenting on his new sales team, says: “I believe that the new appointments will make a great difference to Advanced Direct, especially in the area of customer service.”
