Hospital’s launderette refurbished

29 July 1998

Warner Howard has recently been chosen to refurbish the “parents’ launderette” at Great Ormond Street Hospital, which cares for thousands of sick children every year.

Each night, about 350 parents are accommodated by the hospital. Some may remain at the hospital for long periods until their offspring are fully recovered, necessitating the need for a launderette.

The “parents’ launderette” has been redecorated and newly equipped by Warner Howard, with three 15 lb top-loader washing machines, three tumble dryers and an ironing table.

Commenting on the installation, Michele David, accommodation services manager, told LCN: “Warner Howard’s reputation for laundry expertise went before them. I’m delighted to report that our every expectation has been fulfilled. They worked hand-in-hand with us at each stage of the project to produce a facility that is a tangible benefit to parents.”
