Hughes Electrical in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, is helping two local students in their attempt to raise £8,000 to go on a trip of a lifetime.

Samuel Gowler and Ayran Hodgson, Year 10 pupils at Marshland High School, are planning to spend four weeks in Borneo where they will help local communities build better facilities, including a new classroom.

One of the fund-raising events takes place on 7 May when they take to their bikes for a 36-mile trip to Hunstanton, which prompted Hughes’ Wisbech store manager, David Youngs, to get involved.

Anyone can call into the Hughes shop on The Market Place in Wisbech to buy raffle tickets, the draw for which will take place on the afternoon of 7 May.
