Industry’s top entrepreneurs applauded at LCN 2018 Awards

Wayne Retallack of South West Laundry won the Best Entrepreneur - Laundry category at the LCN Awards 2018.

South West Laundry started out from a small launderette in St Just near Land’s End in 1996, Father and son team Tony and Wayne Retallack worked together to build the business and after four years of trading moved to the current site at St Erth Industrial Estate Hayle where the company now employs a very dedicated team of over 50 people.

At the Cornwall Business Awards in May last year, the company came second in the Family Business of the year and Wayne scooped the award for Entrepreneur of the Year.

Johnson Service Group (JSG) announced the acquisition of South West Laundry on 31 August this year. Wayne Retallack will be joining the Stalbridge team and continue to run South West Laundry.

Gareth Hodgen, White Label Cleaners, was named Laundry and Cleaning News Best Entrepreneur for Drycleaning. Gareth and Susan Hodgen formed White Label Cleaners in 2010. The business continues to strive, through the hard work and dedication of its employees and suppliers, and the application of the latest technology, to provide the highest quality service to its customers.
