The JLA Group has announced the acquisition of William Whitfield Limited, a company that specialises in commercial heating across Scotland and North England. Established in 1993 and based in Scotland, William Whitfield provides customers with high quality service from installation and maintenance to rapid response and emergency repairs on commercial heating systems.
From its head office in Bellshill, Glasgow, William Whitfield employ over 40 people, including 25 field based engineers and apprentices.
In May, international private equity firm, Cinven, acquired JLA for an undisclosed consideration. Headquartered in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, JLA is a market-leading critical service solutions provider and works across the commercial laundry, catering, heating and fire safety industries. The Group has thousands of customers across a diverse set of sectors including care homes, healthcare, hotels, social housing and schools and offers commercial heating equipment through an industry leading all-inclusive package – Total Care.

In April JLA Group acquired Fire Bright, is a national provider of Fire Safety solutions, such as fire alarm systems, automatic opening vents (AOV’s), portable extinguishers and emergency lighting.
