The commercial laundry market in the Middle East is set for significant growth in 2016 according to the organiser of Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) on 2 - 4 November, an event which covers three, sector-dedicated trade shows including Gulf Laundrex for the laundry and drycleaning sectors.

To support this forecast, MECTW quotes the Jones Lang LaSalle 2014 report, which says that hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are scheduled to add 20,000 rooms to 80,000 already established by next year. It adds that the growing hospitality industry has created a competitive market for institutional, commercial and central laundries.

A recent survey by MECTW shows that commercial laundries with hotel contracts process an average of 1,500 pieces on weekdays and 2,000 pieces at weekends.
