PerfectClean extends its network

15 July 2014

Sterile Surgical Systems of Tumwater, Washington, has joined the PerfectClean infection prevention network of healthcare laundries.

The network, formed in 2012, consists of healthcare laundries that specialise in processing linens and textiles to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections in acute care hospitals and extended care and surgical centres. It is part of the UMF Corporation, which manufactures infection prevention products and also runs related training programs.

George Clarke, UMF Corporation's CEO says: "A PC/Network laundry offers the assurance that everything possible has been done to reduce the risk of HAIs such as Clostridium difficile (C. diff) and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)."

He added that the network continues to grow as more healthcare laundries realise the advantage of providing their customers with a standard of products, service and training that goes beyond that offered by larger commercial laundries.
