Poseidon Textile Care Systems generated significant buzz for its wetcleaning system during Clean 19 in New Orleans, according to owners Jeff Quail and Mike “Stucky” Szczotka. “Poseidon has taken hold within the fabricare market and is getting the attention of seasoned operators looking for alternatives to solvent,” said Szczotka.
“The Poseidon Dryer, which is truly unique in the industry, has finally closed the loop on the wetcleaning process and made it significantly more productive, profitable and eco-friendly than alternative solvent drycleaning.”
Poseidon showcased its highly programmable Poseidon Wet Cleaning Machines and new-technology Poseidon Dryers – engaging visitors with live demonstrations in which fine garments were wetcleaned and dried using the system, with superior results, said Quail. “Seasoned fabricare professionals wanted to see the system in action and touch and see the results first-hand,” he said. “They got that opportunity, and in return, we generated a lot of buzz and opportunities because they were blown away by the great results.”
Poseidon allows control over the entire wetcleaning process, from the first bath in the washer to the gentle and precise moisture removal in the dryer. “The programmability of the Poseidon Dryer is why we can now take traditionally dry cleaned items and process them through water with excellent results and operational savings,” said Quail.
The Poseidon Dryer features programmable oven temperature, drum temperature, drum speed, drum rotation and reversing on/off sequence. A programmable dual-temperature sensor at the airflow inlet and outlet creates a balanced dry and continuously monitors temperatures for total control over cooling speed.
“The dryer’s key feature is its ability to create steps in the dry cycle similar to what we see in the wash cycle,” said Quail. “Each step of the dry cycle relies on moisture sensors (or time) to automatically advance the dryer to the next step. Once a pre-set moisture level is met, the Poseidon Dryer enters cool-down.” A programmable dual-temperature sensor at the airflow inlet and outlet creates a balanced dry and continuously monitors temperatures for total control over cooling speed.
Also showcased were soft-mount Poseidon Wet Cleaning Machines and demonstrations of their advanced Inteli control. The control makes every variable of the wet cleaning process programmable, including water temperature and levels; number of baths, rinses and pre-washes; automatic chemical injection; ); extract speed; and wash-rotation speed and duration (including zero rotation).
