The challenges ahead – TSA conference 2017

14 November 2017

UK

The TSA national conference took place at the Carden Park hotel, Cheshire, on Friday, 10 November. Introducing the proceedings, TSA chairman Charles Betteridge of Christeyns, announced a relaunch of the organisation and then handed over to CEO Philip Wright to explain.

Wright has spent the last 18 months engaging with members and visiting more than 50 sites as he gets to understand the industry from all angles and builds an understanding of the challenges the industry faces.

“The industry is under pressure from prices and margins,” he said. “Brexit especially, with workers returning to mainland Europe. Innovation is another challenge  – investing in a time of financial constraints is not easy.”

A full conference report can be found in the LCN December issue.
