The LCN Awards 2017 – our winners take all

22 October 2017

We had a very popular winner of the LCN Lifetime Achievement Award in the form of Dennis Hargreaves, a man who has spent his entire career in textile care at Johnson Service Group, where he has mentored, befriended, innovated, encouraged, driven ideas and definitely holds high the torch of best practice in the industry. The announcement drew a roar of approval and a standing ovation as Dennis accepted the award.

A big thank-you to everyone who attended the event – it promised to be a night to remember and it more than exceeded all expectations. Our thanks, too, to our judges, and everybody who helped make it happen.

There will be a full report in the December issue of LCN and we will also be posting a gallery of the night on this website over the next week with links to a video of the proceedings.

Look out for the full reports here and on www.LCNawards.co.uk.

CINET Global Best Practices Awards 2018

Shortridge and Seven Dials Dry Cleaners will be heading to ExpoDetergo to take part in the CINET Global Best Practices Awards with their travel and accommodation paid for by the organisation. And there is more good news on this subject: Leon Wennekes, director general of CINET, was so impressed by the standard of the competition in the Awards that he has hinted to LCN other category winners may well be hearing from CINET to be UK finalists in 2018. More on that news as things develop…watch this space.

Our sponsors

LCN is very proud that the Awards are sponsored by HJ Weir, Ideal Manufacturing, Tonrose, Bryant Plastics, The Dry Cleaner App, and supported by The Guild of Cleaners and Launderers, Textile Services Association and CINET.
