Aladco Linen Services, Adams, Massachusetts, has sold its rental business to private independent investors. James Gutheim & Associates, Encino, California, served as the financial adviser in the sale, according to a news release.

Aladco was founded in 1953 by Arthur. Brown and grew from a ‘wet-wash’ plant to an organisation serving western Massachusetts, southern Vermont and eastern Connecticut. David . Desmarais purchased Aladco from the Brown family in June 2005 and is the company president.

In 2008, after acquiring Highland Laundry, Aladco opened a distribution location in Holyoke, Massachusetts, which improved the company’s services along the Interstate 91 corridor all the way to the metropolitan area of Hartford, Connecticut.
