Welsh Secretary visits Mitre Linen

Mitre Linen, the supplier to leading luxury and boutique hotels, celebrated its 70th anniversary with a visit from the Secretary of State for Wales Alun Cairns on Friday 21 October. The Minister toured Mitre’s headquarters in Merthyr Tydfil and met some of the 95 people employed by the company including new MD Jim Mangan.

The company’s high level of service and quality earned it the honour of the Royal Warrant in 1955 and it has proudly been providing the Royal Household and the Royal Estate ever since.

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns said: “Congratulations to Mitre Linen on their 70th anniversary. This is a real South Wales success story built by local people. Mitre have established their name by supplying some of the world's top hotels among its many clients, and I am sure it will continue to be a five-star company for years to come.”

Mitre Linen MD Jim Mangan said: “This is an exciting time for Mitre. I am proud of my team, who deliver excellent customer service to our loyal customers, and of our expanding range of high quality products, which are exported to multiple countries as well as throughout the UK.”
