White Knight Laundry Services Limited is in administration and is no longer trading. The closure before Christmas of the 100-year-old laundry business based in Eastbourne, Sussex, comes less than a year after coming under new ownership.

According to the company’s website, the affairs, business and property of the company are being managed by the joint administrators.

Will James Wright and Stephen John Absolom of KPMG were appointed as joint administrators of White Knight Laundry Services Limited on 8 December 2016. The administrators confirmed that the majority of the firm’s 131 employees have been made redundant.

White Knight was established in 1904 and offered domestic laundry services, business and industrial laundry and linen hire.

In March 2016 Secure Trust Bank Commercial Finance and SKG Capital provided £1 million worth of funding and investment to support the acquisition of White Knight Laundry.
