CLEAN SHOW 2019 PREVIEW

Girbau, the professional laundry solutions provider, will be presenting its latest innovations at Clean. These solutions focus on four different market segments: high-output industrial laundries, commercial laundries, vended laundries and wet cleaning. In the United States, the company is also present with the Continental Girbau brand.

Girbau marketing manager, Monica Cuatrecases, says: “At Clean 2019 we will show how Girbau has become the ideal laundry partner by offering a One Stop Shop solution, a single supplier for any laundry solution, whatever your business or scale.”  She adds: “The stand will be constantly busy, with machines working, live demonstrations and above all specialised advice for every business to help our clients to find the best business model for their laundry.”

Girbau has expanded its HS 6 Series of washer-extractors with the launch of the HS-6085, with 85-95kg capacity. This completes the expanded range and fills the gap that previously existed between the smaller HS-6057 (63kg) and range-topping HS-6110 (122kg), the benchmark in the large capacity washer market. Girbau now offers nine different models ranging from 9kg to 122kg in capacity.

Continental Girbau added a 190-pound capacity model, the EH190 Washer-Extractor, to its E-Series soft-mount washer line-up last year and has further extended the range with the introduction this year of a new 70-pound capacity washer-extractor.

“The greatest volume of washers sold in North America are from the 40- to 100-pound capacity category,” says Joel Jorgensen, Continental vice president of sales. “Our new 70-pound capacity model is Continental’s fourth introduction into the high-performance E-Series line. By providing more capacity options, Continental allows on-premise laundries to more accurately size for, and meet, unique production and throughput needs.”

The E-Series Washer line features 20-, 30-, 40-, 60-, 70-, 80-, 90-, 130- 190- and 255-pound capacity models. Offering 20 pre-programmed cycles and up to 79 individually modifiable cycles, the EH070 is also highly programmable to properly clean virtually any load type. The Inteli Control offers programmable water temperature by degree, wash rotation speed and duration, water levels, bath cool-down by degree, and up to six extract speeds.

Domus is a specialist in industrial laundry equipment, exporting to more than 150 countries. For Clean 2019, Domus will present its whole ECOVOLUTION by Domus concept, with many important new machines and features, the result of continuous investment in R&D&I to offer a complete range of technologically advanced and efficient machines. All Domus washers and tumble dryers are Wet Cleaning ready.

Ecovolution equipment includes Touch II washer-extractors, Heat Pump dryers and the ECO-TANK concept; recovery tanks that allow the water recovery – all designed to create an efficient environment in Domus laundries.

Also on the stand is the new line of Heavy Professional equipment – both 8kg and 10kg washer-extractors and dryers, with new Touch II microprocessor. There is the option of programming, exporting and importing programs without limit and software updates, via the USB port, using a USB drive.

All Domus washer-extractors, both front loaders and barrier washers, are equipped with the Touch programmer, which offers the option of Auto Weight automatic weighing system and Optimal Loading as standard, to adjust the water and chemicals consumption to the quantity of linen being washed.

Domus has also launched the next generation of high, medium and low spin washers, with one of the highest G-factors in the market: 450 high spin models, 300 medium spin and 200 low spin.

The latest range of Domus barrier washers feature the 7inch screen Touch II control, with 29 pre-set programs. Offering capacities of 27, 35, 50 and 70kg, the range has standard features like the electric brake, screen on both sides of the machine and a model with dual heating (electric-steam). Traceability records ensure that all washing processes information (temperatures, water levels) is stored in the washer and can be extracted to a PC by means of a USB drive.

Hydrofinity provides sustainable water-saving laundry and fabric care solutions to hospitality, leisure and industrial laundries. Operating globally, Hydrofinity is a division of Xeros Technology Group. For Clean, the company is showing its XDrum system, which enables conventional washing machines to use the XOrb technology by releasing them into the wash cycle, where they interact with the garments and fabrics with less chemistry to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness of performance. When the cycle is finished, the drum rotation is reversed and the XOrbs return to the rear of the machine, ready for the next cycle.?

Lavatec has implemented osLaundry, a data management system that allows operators to track multiple production points, remotely observe the performance of their equipment, and give engineers the ability to review the control system. “These controls allow for a variety of wash formulas, water levels and extraction speeds based on the requirement of the chemical company and the textiles being processed,” says Ware. “As the software and controls become even more sophisticated, it will be key for the skill levels of the engineers and operators to improve with the software to maintain the systems.”

Hiroko Bryant, head of marketing at Miele Professional says that since 2000, the company has developed from being just a product manufacturer to a system provider for commercial laundry solutions.

At Clean, Miele will show an assortment of commercial laundry products from our Octoplus line (PW 6080 / PT 7186) up to its largest laundry models (PW 6321 / PT 8807) and rotary ironer. Live Wet Cleaning Demos are scheduled throughout each show day.

The latest addition to the portfolio is the Benchmark Series, which has the Performance and Performance Plus models. The Performance Plus models offer more than 90 standard and special programs, covering for example sportswear, disinfection, comforters or pillows. Miele’s tried-and-tested WetCare aqueous wash for environmentally friendly laundry care, which is gentle to textiles and dispenses with the need for solvents, is also onboard. In addition to the programs Miele provides, there are also vacant program slots for more than 100 user-compiled programs.

These machines are recognizable at a glance by their stainless-steel fronts. Miele Professional also offers two entry-line models under the Performance label. All machines from the Performance and Performance Plus ranges feature a patented door lock mechanism that allows the door to be opened and shut at the touch of a finger. Miele’s EcoSpeed wash process relies on different rotational speeds. At the start of a program, low-speed rotation ensures that the shower ribs scoop up the maximum possible amount of water. After that, the drum speed is continuously increased. The alternation between showering and compression is repeated many times over – resulting in perfect wash results in combination with low consumption.
