New supplier enters the arena

7 April 1998

Offering a wide range of products plus after-sales service to customers throughout the UK and Ireland is a newly-established laundry equipment supplier.

Greater Manchester based Monarch Machinery is headed by Peter Brockbank who has extensive experience in the field of laundry and textile care equipment and who was, until recently, managing director of The Cherry Tree Machine Company.

Parent company of Monarch Machinery is Butterfly Holdings PLC, a multi-disciplined group involved in the manufacture of textile and printing machinery and materials handling systems, and in the provision of financial services.

Equipment exclusively distributed and serviced in the UK and Ireland by Monarch will be supplied by Tonello, Triveneta Grandi Impianti and Luniwash, all based in Italy; by Carbonell of Spain; and by Jean Michel of France.

Tonello manufactures a range of high technology open-pocket washer-extractors with load capacities from 50 to 420 kg and suitable for classifications including cottons, polyesters and dust mats. There is also a selection of denim finishing and textile treatment machines with cylinder volumes ranging from 445 to 4220 litres. Tonello specialised denim finishing equipment includes de-stoners, brushing units and shuttle loading/unloading systems.

Triveneta Grandi Impianti makes a comprehensive range of drying tumblers for the laundry and denim finishing sectors. Load capacities of Triveneta machines are from 12 to 550 kg, and models are available with steam, gas or oil heating and a variety of formats including non-tilting, tilting and pass-through. To link with their drying tumblers, Triveneta produce a patented range of shuttle loading and unloading equipment.

Luniwash produces a range of five, three-pocket end-loading washer-extractors with load capacities from 60 to 300 kg. Each size of machine is available in both standard and barrier format and is supplied with the latest fully programmable computerised control system.

Carbonell produces a range of unique continuous washing systems incorporating design concepts that make them entirely different from conventional tunnel washers. In effect, each module of the Carbonell machine is an independent washing machine with its own water, steam and chemicals supply and with its own drainage facility. Washing action is achieved by full 360o rotation of the cylinder.

Jean Michel produces a comprehensive range of feeding, folding and stacking machines for both large and small items and for differing production throughput requirements. Also, Jean Michel manufactures a range of highly automated garment folding and packaging machines and the Cervorail automated linen handling system.

Monarch is providing its after-sales service with factory trained engineers. Spare parts will be stocked at group premises in the North and South of England. Additionally, Monarch will utilise Butterfly showroom and exhibition premises in Central London and Greater Manchester.

For customers seeking asset finance, Monarch’s sister company Admiral Leasing is able to offer a range of leasing and other financial services.
