However Rob Lewis, one of the joint administrators and director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, said that discussions in relation to a sale of the Norwood site were continuing and he hoped to report a successful outcome.
The administrators sold the workwear part of Brooks’ business to Sunlight Service Group, safeguarding some 150 jobs, and have secured ongoing supply for the majority of Brooks’ national customers.
“We have put in place arrangements to provide staff that are being made redundant with support to ensure that their resulting claims can be agreed and paid as soon as possible,” said Lewis.
As already reported on this site, Brooks Service Group, a leading UK supplier of linen and workwear rental services to the hotel, hospitality and food industries, went into administration on 13 February 2007.
