Executive chairman John Talbot says the group continues to reduce its debt, adding that he expected to achieve a “satisfactory result” for 2010 despite the harsh economic environment.

The Johnson Service Group returned to profit in 2009. Announcing its preliminary results for the year to 31 December 2009, the group said cost savings and a pension credit of £12million contributed to £20.6m pre-tax profit last year after suffering a pre-tax loss of £6.8million in 2008.
