Two of the biggest names in laundry equipment and solutions, Jensen Group and Kannegiesser, have opted out of Texcare International 2021, and other exhibitors are reportedly withdrawing. As yet there is no official word from organiser Messe Frankfurt but a spokesperson has told LCNi: “It is true, that Kannegiesser and Jensen have cancelled their participation within the free cancellation deadline on 3 September. Currently [Messe Frankfurt] is discussing that fact with every single exhibitor personally. We still keep the deadline on 3 September and will communicate around that date.“
LCNi reported on 24 August that Jensen Group, after a thorough analysis of the current situation, has decided not to participate in Texcare International, Frankfurt, in November. According to the company, the decision has been made because the situation regarding the spread of the Covid-19 virus and the new variants in Germany and especially abroad is still unpredictable.
The current and prospective travel restrictions as well as the general uncertainty in the market indicate little willingness to visit the Texcare trade fair. An international customer survey confirms this conclusion for customers from overseas and other European countries.
"In these times, the investment in participating in a trade fair is not justifiable, especially since a low number of visitors can be assumed," confirmed Jesper Munch Jensen, CEO of the Jensen Group (pictured).
The Jensen Group regrets the decision and intends to present its new products worldwide as planned in 2021. Via decentralised and digital formats, laundries can get to know innovative solutions live and in personal contact with Jensen experts.
Due to Covid, Texcare was moved from its original March 2020 date to October 2020 and from thence to end of November 2021. This story will be updated.
