Bradford based chemicals manufacturer Christeyns is ensuring its visitors and company vehicles all have immediate access to electric charging points with the installation of chargers in its head office car park.

Two electric charging points are now fully operational in the Rutland Street car park, supplied by Rexel, the units are available for use 24 hours a day by anyone visiting the firm as well as all employees.

Christeyns marketing manager Jon Walker said: “We are seeing an increasing number of electric cars on the roads and we now have several electric and hybrid vehicles in our own fleet.  The installation of these new charging points will provide reassurance and make it easier for our visitors and staff to recharge.”

The proportion of Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) being registered in the UK car market continues to increase. According to The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), there were 7,489 electric or hybrid vehicles registered this August as opposed to 3,968 in August of 2017.
