The impact the laundry industry has on the environment is significant. In terms of the resources it uses and the environmental effects of waste water and chemicals being discharged throughout the laundry processes.

As a company, Christeyns is focused on doing all it can to reduce these environmental impacts and sees the challenges facing the industry as an opportunity to provide cost effective solutions to help customers stay ahead. Christeyns has invested significantly into how to best achieve the most energy and water efficient laundry systems, incorporating both equipment and chemicals, for its customers whilst still maintaining excellent results. A process which is on-going.

Christeyns’ Operations Director Justin Kerslake said:“We feel extremely humbled to pick up this award, representing the chemical industry, which is not always seen in the best light.  We work really hard and have done for decades to make sure our chemicals are safe to use and minimise the impact on the environment.

“We were up against some touch competition, some great companies doing fantastic things in Bradford. We are immensely proud to win this award.

With sustainability high on the national and international agenda this award highlights the efforts taken by business, leaders, entrepreneurs, start-ups and wealth creators who have gone above and beyond in providing sustainable initiatives.
