For CINET, says CEO Peter Wennekes, 2019 and 2020 were marked by an amazing global quest for selecting and bringing together the best showcases from all over the world for its 2020 Gobal Best Practices Awards Programme.
Assisted and supported by a growing number of sponsors and members, more 125 applications from some 40 countires were received. Before Covid- 19 came along five pre-selections were already organised and the winners automatically qualified for the final presentation. Six pre-selections needed to be cancelled or were organised virtually.
Virtually from Amsterdam
In spite of the fact that due to Covid-19, the GBAP Awards 2020 could not be organised from Texcare International in Frankfurt, Cinet is extremely pleased to stage the event virtually from Amsterdam, Netherlands, in cooperation with the INTERCLEAN exhibition streaming event.
Selection of finalists
The Cinet international pre-selection Jury evaluated all applications and is pleased to announce that this week 50 companies have been informed that are invited to a virtual pitch-presentation of three minutes for an online judging session by the Cinet GBPAP2020 international jury, consisting of 20 independent experts from all over the world on 4 November .
The pitches are in three categories:
RTC-A for SME Retail Textile Cleaning companies,
RTC-B for big retail companies and
ITS - Industrial Textile Service companies.
Country winners
The GBPAP20 pre-selection jury determined the country winners for participating countries. These nominees have been informed and will be included in the GBPAP20 award ceremony which will take place on 5 November. Around 40 companies will be rewarded as an official GBPAP2020 nominee, and will receive acertificate.
Join the ‘Sustainability Manifesto’
The Sustainability Manifesto is an initiative of the PTC Industry, taking responsibility towards a sustainable and circular future. The manifesto will be signed by textile and fashion industry companies, experts, PTC suppliers, Governmental institutions, industry experts, NGOs and individual companies.
