CSR recognition for Dibella

31 January 2020

GERMANY

Dibella, the textile services specialist, has been nominated as one of 25 companies for the prestigious CSR Prize awarded by the German federal government and has made it into the pre-selection in the special prize category “Responsible Supply Chain Management”.

Each year, the German government awards its CSR Prize to companies that integrate sustainable action into their business activities in an exemplary manner. The award is presented in five categories, for which this time almost 200 companies and groups have applied. Dibella applied in the category of “Responsible Supply Chain Management”.

The company presented its numerous measures for social, ecological and economic corporate responsibility in the supplier countries and its value chain.

“We’re really delighted about the nomination,” says Frank Neumann, vice president and sales director at Dibella. “For over a decade now, we have been strongly committed to fair, socially and environmentally responsible business practices in our value chain. Our commitment extends to the producer level - i.e. all the way through to the organic cotton farmers. This transparency enables us to implement our CSR goals at all stages of the supply chain and gives our customers the assurance that they are using responsibly produced textiles. The recognition of our activities on the part of the federal government makes us feel proud and affirms our objective of consistently maintaining the course we have embarked on.”
