Electrolux Professional has launched a comprehensive advisory document detailing cleaning and hygiene best practice guidelines for a variety of UK textile care businesses.

Clean, Sanitise, Decontaminate: How to choose your solution, is a short document which distils the many sanitary challenges currently faced by textile care businesses across a number of industries, and provides impartial advice on the most appropriate cleaning solution to mitigate the potential spread of infection. The document classifies industries and applications into three different risk levels.

Each risk level is then matched with suitable equipment and technology, ranging from traditional commercial washing and drying technology, through to barrier washers and even the creation of bespoke laundry appliances suitable for solving complicated decontamination issues, such as those which employ liquid carbon dioxide.

The guide also provides specific advice on the cleaning of reusable personal protective equipment, and how to mitigate cross-contamination.

Darren Lockley, head of region – UK & Ireland at Electrolux Professional, comments: “Now more than ever, cleaning and hygiene are at the forefront of business leaders’ minds. There is no room for error when it comes to decontamination, and it is vitally important that organisations can access impartial, concise and clear guidance.

“Ultimately, giving the extensive advice and resources currently available to businesses, we wanted to create something that was clear, to the point, and could provide concrete solutions to the cleaning and hygiene challenges business are facing.”

The document is free to access and can be downloaded from a dedicated landing page on the Electrolux Professional website: https://www.electroluxprofessional.com/gb/clean-sanitize-decontaminate-choose-solution.
