GCL invites textile care operators to event this Sunday

7 March 2019

UK

Textile care professionals across all disciplines are invited to attend the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers' Conference and Exhibition this Sunday, 10 March, at the Best Western Plus Manor Hotel, Meriden, Solihull, with free entrance and refreshments for members and non-members, paid for from Guild funds to support the industry.

The Guild Council also voted to remove any charges for exhibitors, making this a free event for suppliers who will be available to chat with delegates about their products and showcase their goods .

It is an ideal opportuity for operators to learn from experts and do a bit of networking at the same time. The impressive list of speakers (see list, below) will present on all aspects of textile care across washing, wetcleaning and drycleaning and will be available throughout the day to chat with delegates. Expect to take away information on best practices from presentations examining profitable and sustainable business, a master class in stain removal, marketing your business, alternatives to plastics for packaging, common failures in cleaning, additional income generation and starting a new revolution in our business.

Ken Cupitt, Council Chairman, Guild of Cleaners and Launderers said that the reason for this change in policy is to support the industry at this difficult time of uncertainty. "In making this gesture we at the Guild hope to recruit more members and hope that exhibitors will encourage their industry contacts to attend the conference and exhibition which is valuable opportunity to network," he said.

The venue is just three miles from the M42 (M6/M5/M40) and Birmingham International Airport and railway station.

Put the co-ordinates in your sat-nav, 127 Main Rd, Meriden, Coventry CV7 7NH , and contact the Guild to tell them you are coming.
