Tyler Willman, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, recently joined Girbau North America (GNA) as regional sales manager in training. In this role, he will be immersed in all aspects of GNA’s internal departments, including shipping and receiving, parts, technical services, customer care, lead fulfilment and sales. His responsibilities include daily interface with end-user lead inquiries, distributer lead fulfllment and service request follow-up, among many others. This position ultimately leads into a regional sales manager role.
“Tyler is personable, inquisitive and intelligent young professional that picks up laundry industry nuances in a snap,” said Joel Jorgensen, vice president of sales. “His work ethic, charisma and willingness to work as part of a team make him a perfect fit for our company. We are glad to have him as part of our team and excited to share him with our customers in his eventual role as a GNA regional sales manager.”
Prior to joining GNA, Willman played three years of professional baseball with the Oakland Athletics, in Oakland, California; served two years as an inside sales associate for JJ Keller, in Neenah, Wisconsin and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Willman, who looks forward to learning more about the laundry industry and developing relationships with GNA distributors, believes his professional baseball experience will come in handy. “Baseball teaches you a lot of life lessons that I carry over into my everyday life,” he said. “In professional baseball, a strong competitive attitude is a must for bringing your ‘A’ game every day. There is always someone looking to replace you, so giving it your all, day in and day out, is the same mindset I use in the workforce today. I very much enjoy being part of the GNA team. Everyone is welcoming, friendly and willing to help with any and all questions.”
