Gordonstoun chooses Lux

5 December 2001

Gordonstoun, Prince Charles's former school, relies exclusively on Electrolux equipment for its laundering requirements and has recently invested in a Generation 3000 high-spin washer-extractor.

The school which accommodates some 420 students has a central laundry for bedlinen and all school washing, plus individual laundries for each of the boarding houses where students are encouraged to do their personal washing.

The school has around 30 Electrolux machines of various sizes. Maintenance manager Michael Haig says that with so much laundry equipment, it makes sense to use machines from one manufacturer. He added that the machines were easy for students to use in their in-house laundries.
