The evening of Tuesday, 8 December has been announced as the time to drop in on the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers (GCL) as it airs a webinar on ‘Current Issues of Textile Care’.

Ken Cupitt (pictured), of the GCL and WCL writes: “As we, in Britain, accelerate towards a greater use of digital technology and our industry’s customers have had imposed upon them the consequences of increased remote working, particularly due to Covid-19, this has resulted in our industry taking quite a beating since March, suffering a massive reduction in business.

“We are pleased to announce that the Guild of Cleaners and Launderers and the Worshipful Company of Launderers have teamed up and together scheduled the following complimentary webinar with four speakers, who will cover topics relevant to these current issues.”

The speakers are:

Richard Cole, FGCL, Cole and Wilson, a division of Christeyns UK;

Mark Gleed, company director, Marketskil UK and MEG Events;

David Stevens, CEO, Textile Services Association, and former director of Paragon Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and;

Ron Davidson, FGCL, Guild President and consultant.

As there is a restriction on numbers of participants, please register your interest by emailing clerk@launderers.co.uk or guild.debbie@gmail.com or kencupitt@gmail.com and you will be sent the appropriate participation link.
