The most important focus at Texcare International in June will be the topic of sustainability. At a press conference in London, representatives from the UK professional textile care industry heard how the trade fair continues to be globally the most important technology platform for the laundry and drycleaning sector.

“All exhibitors of Texcare International are looking forward to the fair with great expectations,” says Elgar Straub (pictured), managing director VDMA TFL (Textile Care, Fabric and Leather Technologies), the conceptual partner of Texcare International.

“The currently increasing demands for sustainability and hygiene encourage new investments in machinery and technologies.

"After a mixed year in 2019, all Texcare exhibitors expect that this year’s trade fair in Frankfurt will once again provide a lasting impulse for pushing the international textile care sector.”

Straub explained how on the consumer side, awareness of sustainability is increasing worldwide and with it the demands on industry for more sustainable and resource efficient production.

International authorities like the EU Commission are also prioritising the topic. The EU Commission's Green New Deal will also concern and shape the textile care industry in the coming years. In this context, the topic of circular laundry is also rapidly gaining in importance.

Texcare International takes place from June 20 to 24 in Frankfurt, Germany.
