WesVic Systems is owned by Chad Boucher, who is developing the PieceCounter brand, and his brother Craig who is responsible for the technical side of the business.

The PieceCounter, which has been on the US market for three years, provides detailed time tracking data that allows operators to monitor time management, recording problems such as delays between clocking in and starting work, equipment breakdown times and interruptions in the work flow. Laundries that have installed this system have seen considerable labour and energy cost savings, according to Ross Weir, director of Chepstow-based Weir Laundry Equipment.

He added that the LCD screen incorporated on the PieceCounter provides the operator with real-time feedback of the current “pieces per hour” goal, current PPH rate and efficiency. The system can be easily installed onto any tunnel finisher, towel/blanket folder, ironer and pressing station. It is therefore an ideal product for Weir Laundry Equipment, which refurbishes old feeders and folders from H-J Weir, and will allow the company to extend its product range.
