CLEAN’s Cheltenham Laundry has supported the local Community Mentoring and Support CiC organisation through the donation of fresh linen for its international youth camp held on 1-13 August. Over 280 hotel-standard bed sheets, pillows and towels were delivered to the camp by Clean to ensure the young attendees had a comfortable stay.

CMAS is a social enterprise that supports young people, their families and the professionals who work with them. Formed in 2013, CMAS operates across the South West of England and provides local areas with commissioned youth clubs and youth projects and youth committees, professional mentoring for young people with additional needs and alternative education for those who are not accessing mainstream schooling.

Funded by the European youth council (Erasmus), the international youth camp gathers young people from varying backgrounds of social deprivation from Cyprus, France, Italy and the UK together to explore the concept of Social Mobility. The campers work through a weeklong programme, share stories from each of their nations and report back to their countries daily to explain their findings.

Clean Cheltenham site director Nick Phillips said: “We are so proud that we can support brilliant organisations such as CMAS by providing our high-quality products. The work that CMAS do is life-changing for the young people involved and exactly the kind of initiatives we want to continue to support in the future.”

Other charities supported by Clean Cheltenham include Macmillan Cancer Support, Clean’s official chosen charity, as well as the Teenage Cancer Trust and Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
