Open to DLI members only, the service will help to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of counter staff. It will provide a comprehensive report for store owners and managers that highlights areas where additional training may be needed.
According to the DLI’s Mary Scalco, counter workers are the face of the drycleaning industry. A great counter worker will help a business grow. One bad encounter and a customer will walk away forever. “Most counter workers are friendly but simply do not come equipped with all the necessary knowledge and skills to set the business apart from the competition.”
Results show that 38% of drycleaners visited so far earned “excellent” or “superb” scores, with 24% rated as “needs improvement” and 13% as “unacceptable.”
