The company’s environmental credentials were also recognised earlier this year when it received its “green” certification from the National Green Cleaner’s Council.

The Platinum Star, awarded in September 2009, is the second star award that the drycleaning business has received from Oklahoma DEQ.

Co-owner Tom Keenze says his company was the first GreenEarth licensee in Oklahoma and began operations in January 2006. Just eight months after it opened, the company was awarded a gold level star by the state’s DEQ for its environmentally-friendly practices.

This latest award recognises the additional anti-pollution practices that the company has implemented since 2006. These include using biodegradable poly bags and recycled plastic shirt hangers. The business also recycles the wire hangers and poly bags that its customers bring to the shop. It will provide “Go-Converta” Bags on request.

The environmentally-friendly policy extends to the laundry service as the company uses “Faultless by Nature” products.
