Synergy Health (UK), a division of Synergy Health plc, has obtained EN14065, the highest level of bio-contamination control certification, at all its laundry sites in the UK.
As a large-scale provider of linen management services in the UK and a leading supplier to the NHS, Synergy Health operates three dedicated healthcare laundries including its flagship laundry in Dunstable and those in Sheffield and Derby. The company spent over a year putting the necessary systems in place to gain certification for all locations.
The standard, which is independently assessed, is the highest European bio-contamination control and applies to all commercial laundries that provide services to hospitals, food, pharmaceutical, catering and hotel sectors.
Derek Isles, senior director for linen management services, said that the significant investment in achieving EN14065 demonstrated the company’s commitment to maintaining its market position. It also underlines Synergy’s commitment to supplying the microbiologically clean textiles that are essential in helping to control healthcare associated infections.
