Voltea, the Netherlands-based supplier of electro-chemical water-conditioning equipment to commercial laundries, has made two appointments to its global sales team to support the sales efforts with its expansion in the USA.

Voltea has appointed Richard Bastar as West Coast US sales manager, with effect from 28 November 2016. He comes from a water treatment background, spending several years in power generation, primary metals, and industrial manufacturing facilities.

In addition, Jennifer Smith has been appointed as Voltea’s Texas-based sales manager, with effect from 1 December 2016. She joins the team after nine years of experience in the environmental services sector.

Both Bastar and Smith report to Carlos Camero, senior VP of global sales.

Voltea’s award-winning CapDI technology removes TDS (total dissolved solids) from laundry water at temperatures up to 60C. At the end of last year, the company announced that AquaRecycle, a leading developer of novel water recycling systems for laundry applications with hundreds of global installations, is expanding its role within Voltea’s distribution network. Through the expanded partnership, AquaRecycle, based in Atlanta, Georgia, will exclusively represent Voltea’s CapDI technology for laundry water-reuse applications throughout the United States.

AquaRecycle provides cost-effective water recycling solutions in key laundry markets such as healthcare, hospitality, military and correctional facilities, and commercial laundries.

Voltea’s global sales team now has representatives in Europe and Mexico, along with both the east and west coasts of the USA and now Texas, also supporting the Mid-West.

Voltea’s Carlos Camero said:  “Broad commercial adoption of Voltea’s CapDI technology for salt and chemical-free water softening, wastewater reuse and recycling, as well as an alternative to traditional brackish water desalination, continues to expand. The North American market in particular affords great growth opportunities and we are excited to have Jennifer join our growing, global sales team.”
