Technical Service Account Manager

Position:     Technical Service Account Manager
Location :     Ireland

Due to continued success within our Laundry Division we are now in a position to further strengthen our Christeyns Ireland team, and wish to appoint an experienced Technical Service Account Manager.
Main duties
The primary responsibility for this role is to manage, develop and enhance customer relationships. You will be expected to promote the services Christeyns offers, and the professional image of the Company. You will provide a high quality service to both existing and future customers, and by way of technical expertise, monitor, retain and expand business with existing customers.
Further duties include but are not limited to:
  • To provide the highest standard of technical service to designated customers, in line with the agreed business strategy.
  • Service, and monitor retain and expand business with existing customers.
  • Ensure that quotes and samples requests, etc., are followed up.
  • Liaise with internal sales personnel.
  • To maintain appropriate product information and product sales aids.
  • To ensure that optimum use is made of any plant trials.
  • To identify opportunities at customers premises to help improve Laundry efficiency and ensure customers fully experience the value of our products and expertise.
Essential Criteria:
  • Ability to travel throughout Ireland with overnight stays as required.
  • Experience in similar customer focussed roles.
  • Experience in the commercial Laundry industry, and/or knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and servicing requirements
  • The ability to react quickly to and resolve customer problems.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to provide a pro-active customer service with a confident nature.
  • Awareness of Microsoft Office packages, and enthusiasm to learn in-house software systems.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Whilst full product training will be provided, it would be beneficial to possess an Electrical/Mechanical engineering background.
  • A good working knowledge of Christeyns Customers, and their requirements.

Position:     Field Service And Installation Engineer
Location :     Based in the M4 corridor
World leaders in the manufacture of industrial laundry equipment have a vacancy for a FIELD SERVICE AND INSTALLATION ENGINEER
Role and Responsibilities:
  • This role is mainly field based servicing and repairing the full range of H J Weir’s machinery in laundries across the UK. The installation of new equipment is also required. It is essential that the engineer forms productive working relationships with all H J Weir customers and is sensitive to their operational requirements. This will require a flexible approach to all jobs.
  • The engineer will also have to work closely with their colleagues at the factory to ensure an efficient service. The job is not 9 – 5 and there will be some weekend and night-time working to fit around the needs of our customers. There will also be a small element of foreign travel.
  • It is essential that the engineer fits in with the “can-do” culture of H J Weir and has the ability to feedback information from the field to assist in service improvement.
Key Skills (Essential):
  • Minimum 5 years in a field based maintenance position
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years electronic engineering experience
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A customer focused approach
  • No restriction to working hours/days
Additional Skills (Desirable):
  • Knowledge of industrial laundry operation in the UK
  • Knowledge of PLC controlled machinery/programming
  • A high level of fault diagnosis and correction ability
  • UK commercial GAS qualifications
  • IPAF tickets for lift trucks and access equipment
  • Basic 25K – OTE 35K with overtime

Job Description:
  • Proven track record of previous experience preferably working in a dry cleaning shop or hotel's dry cleaning department with the ability to work both in a team and on own initiative is essential.
  • The ideal candidate would have worked as a dry cleaning specialist within a luxury standard establishment
  • Experience using pressing and dry cleaning machines with a preference for any training certificates/qualifications
  • This role will involve manual handling (pushing, pulling, lifting)
  • Well-groomed appearance and high level of personal hygiene
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Good command of the English language
  • COSHH Training preferred but not essential
