According to the Indian Textile Observer, MW Unitexx SA acquired a controlling stake in Klopman from BS Private Equity, a leading independent private equity player in Italy, for US$107million.
A wholly owned subsidiary of MW Corp of Mumbai, India, MW Unitexx SA is a sister company of S Kumars Unitexx, an Indian company whose brand name S. Kumars is one of the best-known brand of fabrics for workwear and school uniforms.
Klopman has production facilities in Italy and Tunisia, and distributes its products through its sales offices located in Düsseldorf, Lyon, Barcelona, UK, Moscow, Scandinavia, Poland and Milan.
