2ULaundry, the pickup and delivery service putting a modern spin on doing laundry, is opening a location in Tampa on 31 October. It will be the start-up's second market after perfecting operations in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the past few years. 2ULaundry is “the new way to do laundry and drycleaning, according to the company,  that gives people time back to do more important things in their lives. Customers receive exclusive access to a full suite of laundry services including standard cleaning of everyday laundry, linens, and even a hang dry offering, all with a one-day turnaround time.

“2ULaundry is described as the new way to do laundry,” said Dan D'Aquisto, co-founder and president of 2ULaundry. “We're targeting busy families with kids whose last thing that they want to do when they get home from a busy day is doing laundry, which was voted the most hated household chore in the country.”

When signing up online, customers will build a cleaning profile where they will select which services they're interested in and the cleaning preferences associated with their services. They'll schedule a recurring or one-off pickup and 2ULaundry will drop off a free welcome kit the next day that includes everything a customer needs before their first pickup. On their scheduled day, 2ULaundry will pick up the bags by 8 a.m., clean the clothes exactly to their preferences, and return drawer ready the very next day. Customers can follow their order via the 2U mobile app's order tracker or by getting text message notifications every step of the way.

Following a two-week soft launch for friends and family, 2ULaundry will kick off to the public on 31 October. “Tampa has always been on our roadmap for expansion,” said D’Aquisto. “It was always a market we were looking at in the Southeast because of its fast growing population density. We couldn’t be more excited to bring our service to the families of Tampa.”

Looking ahead,  2ULaundry, expects to launch in 15-20 markets across the United States next year. It will work hand in hand with sister concept, LaundroLab, to follow its expansion footprint in major markets including Atlanta, Austin, Phoenix, Charleston, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Raleigh, and more.

“We're really looking forward to continuing to build that national presence and giving customers time back to focus on things that matter more,” D’Aquisto added.
