Organised jointly by the Textile Services Association and Guild of Cleaners and Launderers, the conference will feature several leading speakers from the industry including Adrian Redgate of National Drycleaners, Murray Simpson of the TSA, Carole Brown of Persil Service, Christine Antrobus of Satra, Emma Tweedie of Parker Hobart, Peter Hunt of Waste Care, Geoff Brown of HSE, Gareth Draper of Royal Jersey and Helena Threlfall of Electrolux.
Subjects covered will include working with members; the great solvent debate; marketing a business successfully; waste not, want not; and health and safety - keep it simple.
The event will also feature a trade exhibition, and the conference will finish with a dinner, race night and disco in the evening.
In addition to the main conference programme, the organiser is planning a curry evening on Friday 14 March, and the Laundry and Cleaning Industry Sports Club will be holding a golf day at the Forest of Arden Golf and Country club.
