Skillset launched the awards to celebrate the growing number of people gaining NVQ qualifications in the laundry and drycleaning sector.
Lesna has worked for Johnsons Apparelmaster for three years and completed her Level 2 Laundry Operations NVQ in May 2010.
Her line manager Michael Miller said: "Violetta, whose first language isn’t English, has come a long way since she began work here three years ago. When she was first appointed she found it quite a challenge when communicating. The environment the NVQ training provided increased her language abilities, job knowledge, confidence and communication skills."
